The real heroes

July 30th, 2011

The real heroes who saves life, they are fire fighters. Fire fighters are the real heroes who save life of people who met with fire accidents. They are trained well like a commando. They have their unique uniforms. They reach within minutes at the place where accident occurs. They find the shortcuts to save the victim. And the weapon of the fire fighter is the fire hose spare. With the help of this they extinguish the fire in a minute. It is attached with the tanker contains water. Produces water in very high pressure which extinguish fire immediately.

A Heaven for Each of Us

July 28th, 2011

I’d like to believe in the idea of heaven portrayed in the book The Lovely Bones.  I’d like to think that each of us has a heaven that is meant just for us, but in which each of our most precious loved ones could visit.  This idea of heaven is comforting because it means that while I can exist in a heaven that mirrors my happiest times in life, my loved ones can also forever live in their ideal environment.  I think that my heaven might mimic the early years of my relationship with my husband as we finished high school and attended college.

Dragon Breath

If there was something major that I couldn’t stand about my best friend, she probably wouldn’t   qualify as my best friend.  Therefore, my complaint is minor.  “Your breath is disgusting after you drink coffee!!!” What would she do and/or say? “Umm…sorry….do you have any gum?” She would probably feel embarrassed, I would probably feel embarrassed, but in the long run, I’m sure we’d both be happier because of it.  She would be saved of breathing her dragon breath on strangers and I wouldn’t have to smell it either.  Come to think of it, perhaps I should tell her after all!

Jesus Snob

July 21st, 2011

I had a pretty boring life for an adolescent.  I never smoke, didn’t drink until I was legally allowed to, and wasn’t promiscuous.  That said, I think all of that came about because I had an enormous amount of peer pressure to be “good.” I grew up in the church and it was so important to me to do what I was told was right.  However, all of that pressure turned me into what I call a “Jesus Snob.” Instead of being just a good person, I thought I was better than everyone else because of it.  I lost friendships, had a terrible time making new ones, and ultimately ended up pretty lonely in high school.

Do you want fries with that?

PHOTO OF CHEESE AND TOMATO PIZZA

To make sure I was well rounded, I would definitely want to choose a protein, a carbohydrate,     and a fat.  Now, if I can get a food that is a combination of those things, that would be even   better.  So let’s start with pizza.  If made with whole wheat crust (carb), low fat cheese (fat and  protein), real tomato sauce (veggie/fruit), and turkey bacon (protein), it would offer a little of  everything that In needed.  Along with my pizza I would want a side salad (lots of veggies for vitamins, nutrients, and fiber).  Finally, to cater to the natural sweet tooth all humans are born  with, I would have a pink grapefruit lightly sprinkled with sugar.

Daddy’s Girl

July 15th, 2011

I have never seen anything more beautiful than my husband with my daughter.  I cried the first time I saw him cradle her in his arms and I cried when I watched him hold her hand as she walked down the drive way for the first time.  I am sure there are plenty more tears to come, but there is certainly no more room in my hear for my love for them.  Everyday I am amazed how much he loves her and could sit and watch the two of them interact for hours. The love they have for each other is beautiful.

Money tree in house

Image via Wikipedia

I have never bought a ticket, but I have already won the lottery.  My husband, my daughter, our house, our jobs, and our little lives are all I could ever need or want.  Our combined income falls right about at the state and national averages, our house only has one full bathroom, and both of our cars have their quirks.  However, no amount of money could ever make me want to change anything that we have.  Our little house is set up exactly how we want it, our jobs are like an extension of ourselves, and we are content.  So what would I do with all that money? Give it away.

What do you call cheese that is not your own?

July 7th, 2011

Looking back 20 years or so, the times with my family that I remember the most vividly are at the dinner table.  Burping contests, lame jokes, and even a few fights were the centerpiece of our family table.  There was no television, sports practices, cell phones, or phone calls while we ate.  It was just the four of us and our own self-developed entertainment.  I remember my dad’s corny jokes more than anything.  He would say things like “What do you call cheese that is not your own?” “Nacho Cheese!” We all groaned and rolled our eyes, but looking back, I miss those times.

Hi-ho, Hi-ho, It’s off to work we go!

My husband and I got married on a quiet beach with 20 of our closest friends and family members on October 10, 2010 (at 10 am). Our eight month old daughter served as both the flower girl and the ring bearer.  Our Uncle officiated the ceremony.  We sat down on a restaurant’s seaside deck for a lovely brunch afterwards.  And then we went home.  We drove two hours home, got our things together for the morning, and went to work the next day.  Both my husband and I work in fields where there are no substitutes, temps, or stand-ins.  We need to be there or the show won’t go on.  Today it has been about 8 months since we got married and we have yet to go on a honeymoon.  I’m sure someday we will go on a vacation, but right now, it just doesn’t fit.

Hang Them Up

July 2nd, 2011

Class B fire extinguishers must be hung on the walls near the machine operators. And they must be well protected against crash of transport vehicles and other effects. They must be colored and marked appropriately. In order to maintain fire safety in a textile mill you must determine the fire team. This team must be educated on the fire safety issues. Beside all these actions you need to have a fire or emergency gathering place outside of the factory. In case of the fire all employees must be gathered in this place. So that we could guess that how many people were at the fire scene and possibly where they were?
