Fire is another dangerous threat to human life. It is so perilous that it can snuff out one’s life. Care should be taken to see that the electrical appliances like the switch boards, plugs and wiring, gas stoves, water heaters, flammable solids and liquids are all properly maintained without any worn out insulating materials. One should report immediately if he encounters with any old wiring, bad insulation to the electrical departments otherwise it would become hazardous. Gas stoves should be in off mode when not in use and the electrical wires shouldn’t be in contact with water. Class b fire extinguishers like pressurized water, dry chemical extinguishers are used to put off fires.

August 30th, 2011When You’re Young You are Prone to Peer Pressure
August 25th, 2011I definitely found myself caving into peer pressure in my younger years. Growing up in a big city, I had access to a lot of different peer groups and a lot of different pressures and expectations. I had friends that we’re into drugs and partying as well as all sorts of other unfavorable habits. The first time that I tried alcohol was due to peer pressure and I would take it all back if I could because that started my crazy parting habits in college. To this day I still can’t even smell rum without flashing back to a crazy night of binge drinking with friends in high school.

The 3 things that I could live off of for the rest of my life
August 22nd, 2011If I could only eat three things every day for the rest of my life, I would have to choose apples, broccoli and pizza. I think that these three foods would be sufficient to satisfy any craving that might come up. I would pretty much grab a slice of pizza at any time right now but that is terribly unhealthy so I would choose broccoli and apples to add to my diet to keep up my intake of fruits and veggies. As long as I had something salty, something crunchy, something sweet and something fresh, I think I could live off of 3 things for the rest of my life.
The Most Beautiful Thing I Have Ever Seen in Nature
August 18th, 2011The most beautiful place thing I have ever seen is bioluminescence at the beaches in San Diego. When the red tide comes in, there are organisms in the water that light up when they are disrupted. The ocean is always moving and changing so they light up for many reasons. I couldn’t believe the effect that millions of these little organisms had while the waves were coming in. At night, the waves looked like lightening strikes in the water. My friends and I would sit for hours staring out at the ocean, waiting for the big waves to come in that would create a burst of light in the water. I have never seen anything like it in the world.
Lottery Winnings Can Change Lives
August 16th, 2011I would immediately join a volunteer organization that would take me travelling throughout the world. I would invest all of the lottery money until I could take a year to gain some perspective and decide how to best use the majority of the money to make a difference in the world. I don’t need a lot of money to be happy. A safe and comfortable house and money to be mobile and travel is all it would take to make me happy. I would enjoy having the ability to base my day to day life around distributing the funds to causes that are in need and to people that are not able to make their lives comfortable and safe.
A Tradition of Wine
August 12th, 2011My family adds to our wine cellar every Christmas. We came up with the idea as soon as my brother and I were 21 and took an interest in wine. Our family has always been appreciative of gourmet food and wine so this tradition allows us to invest in our future Christmases. Every year, we add a nice bottle of wine from the current year to our collection. We’ve actually started to add 2 bottles to the collection – one for our immediate family to enjoy 10 years in the future and one for posterity to enjoy whenever they decide to open it. The plan is to create our own family wine collection and appreciate great wine at Christmas for years to come.

A Honeymoon in the Maldives
August 9th, 2011My boyfriend and I have talked at length about taking our honeymoon in the Maldives. He had never heard of it before I introduced him to the magical string of islands in the Indian Ocean and now we both see it as the ideal start of a marriage. After the stresses of a wedding, what could be better than jet setting off to gorgeous white sand beaches and turquoise waters away from the day to day that we’re used to. The hotels and resorts are all top notch and many have rooms that are actually built on stilts over the calm clear waters. I just want to enjoy a slow island vacation with my brand new husband as soon as we’re married.
The Things That I have Achieved in Life So Far
August 4th, 2011My greatest achievement was building a company that grossed over one million dollars per year. I put so much work into to building every aspect of the process that would bring in retail orders from all over the world. I think I take the most pride in it because I earned the opportunity to build it and accomplished it all before the age of 25. While running that business, work didn’t feel like work. It was this ever-changing and adapting project that was infinitely interesting and enjoyable to work on.
Learning Fire Safety
August 2nd, 2011Fire is used everywhere we turn around. We use fire for cooking, heating, work etc. But at the same time we are supposed to be very careful in handling or working with fire. Carelessness in this aspect, my lead even to death of a human. Nowadays, most of the factories and the companies possess fire extinguishers then and there within their campus to ensure the safety of both the workers and also the belongings. So, one should be very careful and the next thing is to make use of the foam afff fire extinguishers in case of sudden accidents. Even if the extinguisher does not prevent a fire accident, it could at least minimize the loss of both living and non-living beings.
Living as a Killer Whale
August 1st, 2011I would like to be a killer whale, also known as the orca, if I had to live underwater for 2 years. Killer whales lack natural predators so it seems like an ideal animal to be in the ocean. I would prefer to be on the top of the food chain if I had to live in the wild ocean. Orcas are always on the move, migrating from here to there so life wouldn’t be redundant. They also need to come up for air every so often so as a killer whale, I’d at least get to see the surface of the water. They also live in pods so it wouldn’t get lonely underwater.
