The role played by the Fire Marshall is to be a bureaucrat. He receives and dispenses government funds to the local fire departments. He also assigns people to investigate fires and inspect businesses for safety. Fire safety and the fire marshall hi vis are very important. Always be on the lookout for things that could cause a fire, as your possessions, home, or even your life could be at risk. Checking with your local fire department is a good way to learn about fire safety. Your local firemen will do everything they can to make sure you and your home and family, or business, are safe and protected from a fire as much as is possible. Firemen are heroes of the community.

The Firemen Boss
September 29th, 2011‘Tis not the end of the world dear one
September 28th, 2011Dear BFF, I love you to death and couldn’t live without you. Though I could live without your constantly thinking that you are the only person in the whole wide world who has problems and that you are the most put upon person in the world. Working one “quarter”-time job is nothing that should stress you out. Love always, Your BFF. She would be completely flummoxed, blink her eyes a few times, and start crying/laughing (depending on the type of mood she was in) and then start to explain that no one really understands all that she is going through.

Superbowl Screwups
September 22nd, 2011If anyone answers that they have never caved into peer pressure, then I show you a liar. One Superbowl Saturday I let myself be led into too many drinks, way too many drinks, and made a fool out of myself. If I could change it, I most definitely would, simply because I never like to be out of control of my own self. To act silly with friends is one thing, but to have no choice in acting silly is quite a different thing. Though I learned important lessons that night, who real friends are, and why to never let others give you drinks!
Prime Rib, and Bread Pudding, and Pasta, Oh My!
September 19th, 2011Prime Rib has always been one of my guilty pleasures, if you get it perfectly medium rare there is nothing better to eat in the world. It is also practical, it is full of protein that keep me going on a day to day basis. Bread Pudding is the best of two worlds, bread (who doesn’t adore bread) and sweets. Having the combination of the two helps you to maintain your sanity on tough days (sweets) and comfort you on the cold wintry days (bread). Lastly I would have to have my pasta. You can do so much with pasta, and it would go extraordinarily well with the prime rib.
Inismore
September 16th, 2011The most beautiful place that God has ever created and man has yet to ruin in on the cliffs on Inismore by the old ruined Black Fort in the Aran Islands in Ireland. The only trace of human inhabitance is a small pile of rubble in one corner, the rest has been blissfully untouched by man. No fences, no signs, no souvenir huts. Just the bluest skies and waters and greenest grass you have ever seen. It is truly a place you can sit and be at rest, your heart actually hurting as you realize how beautiful our world is.
Freedom from the Oppressor
September 13th, 2011If one day I looked down at the tattered piece of paper that was in my hand only to learn that I had indeed won the millions of dollars now being offered in the lottery…first I would faint clear away. Afterwards I would free myself from the Oppressor. Who is the oppressor you may ask, the Oppressor is none other than the overpowering tyrant called formally, “Student Loans”. To be free of the immense amount that my fiancé and I owe to student loans would allow us to have a better quality of life, and travel as much as we would truly like to.

Christmas-y Thanksgiving
September 8th, 2011Trimming the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day is one of my favorite traditions we had growing up. Not only did you have a wonderful day with family and feast fit for kings, it officially marked the beginning of the Christmas season, the most wonderful season of the year. We would have Christmas music playing as we all took part of unwrapping years-worth of memories in the ornaments, reminiscing about the day it was bought. We laughed as we watched dad weave around the tree and put the lights out, groaning when they had to come off, further delaying our delight. I cannot wait to be the mom during that Christmas season, watching the joy flash in my children’s eyes.
Just You and I
September 5th, 2011In just a few short months I will be journeying to the Rocky Mountains of with my brand new husband. We will be in a cabin, just we two, so that we can take the first few steps of married life together. We will be able to discover each other for the first time and relish in “alone” time with God’s beauty all around us. We do not have to worry about noise or the comings and goings of others. We can experience the beautiful sunsets along the mountain backdrop, soak in a hot tub as we whisper to each other our love and devotion, with no one to interrupt us.
Be Safe Using Dorgard
September 1st, 2011Bad things don’t give pre-indications before coming. So be prepared for this. Use DORGARD, which will make you and your place safe from fire. It is a wireless device, so very easy to install and can be done in 5 min. It just holds the door open and closes it when a fire alarm sounds. It can be installed on the bedroom, kitchen doors, in your office. There are different versions of dorgard spares as Dorgard X can be used in places that are very noisy. Rechargeable batteries are not used and Duracell Pro-cell LR14 batteries are recommended. Be safe and live happily.
To write or not to write
September 1st, 2011Typing the words “The End” on my very first manuscript was a high that I cannot entirely explain. Printing out page after page, filled with words, words that you spun together to weave a story that no one has ever heard before garnered me such a sense of accomplishment as nothing else I have ever striven to do. Holding something in your hands and being able to say, “This is me, this is from me, this is a part of me” is an amazing, and extraordinarily addictive and something I love to share, one day I hope to expand that feeling when I hold a bound copy of that same manuscript.
